For the most part, all of our bags are packed and we are ready to go. Surprisingly, we fit everything into three large suitcases and one small carry-on. Not bad for 4 people (including one teenage girl) going on a 7 week vacation! The carry-on is really just for Kevin - he is going into his office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and we couldn't take a chance that his suitcase might not make it. I have a horrible tendency to over-pack but, regardless of the bag limitations imposed by the airlines, you really can only take just so much stuff when you fly and I was very careful with my packing. I might even have a little bit of room for some new purchases (but you didn't hear that from me).
Caitlynne and I made a final visit to the Babies' Home this morning. This is the look Say Jon gave me when I told him I wouldn't see him until early August...
He was moving all over the place and I can tell that I am going to have to keep a closer eye on him when I return!
I finished all of my real "work" earlier this afternoon and sent everything off to Virginia so that was a huge load lifted off of my shoulders! Tomorrow is set aside for running those last minute errands (of which there will be many, I am sure), making lists for PeePorn and getting haircuts, pedicures, etc. Even Sonder will spend the day getting spiffed up at the dog spa down the street.
